Parents of CCMS Students, Chattahoochee County Middle School teachers and staff are providing an after school remediation program designed to help students improve their performance on the upcoming Georgia Milestones. The program will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:20-4:45 pm, and bus transportation will be provided. There will also be a snack provided during the program. Students are encouraged to participate in order to strengthen any weak academic areas and to have an accurate reflection of their growth on the Milestones. This is doubly important for the eighth grade, as the Milestone also informs whether they move forward into high school next school year. The Chattahoochee County School System would like to thank members of the Ft. Benning 4th Ranger Training Battalion for providing leadership training to employees of the Chattahoochee County School System. The school system’s district leaders will be able to take the leadership principles of the US Army Rangers and apply them to their day to day roles as school system leaders. A special thanks to LTC Craig Butera, MAJ Jon Godwin, and SSG Andy McMullen for conducting the training session. The 4th Ranger Training Battalion serves as the Chattahoochee County School System’s Partner in Education.
