Parents of CCMS Students, Chattahoochee County Middle School teachers and staff are providing an after school remediation program designed to help students improve their performance on the upcoming Georgia Milestones. The program will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:20-4:45 pm, and bus transportation will be provided. There will also be a snack provided during the program. Students are encouraged to participate in order to strengthen any weak academic areas and to have an accurate reflection of their growth on the Milestones. This is doubly important for the eighth grade, as the Milestone also informs whether they move forward into high school next school year. Please contact the school at 706-989-3678 if you have any questions. Sincerely, Mr. Josh Kemp Admin. Assistant
The Chattahoochee County School System will resume its regular schedule on Friday, January 19. School officials will communicate with parents, students, and employees about making up the days as soon as a plan is developed. Thank you for your cooperation over the last two days.
The Chattahoochee County School System would like to thank our community partners that represented us at the Georgia School Boards Association Conference in Atlanta on Friday, December 1. At the conference, the team delivered a presentation to school board members from around the state about how the ChattCo School System works with community partners to help achieve the goals of the school system’s newly redesigned strategic plan. Team members included Thomas Weaver, County Manager; Jamie Crozier, CareConnect Health; Major Jon Godwin, US Army 4th Ranger Training Battalion; Roger Hatcher, Columbus State University; Jamie Loyd, Columbus Technical College; Tabatha Walton, Chattco Assistant Superintendent; and Tim Buchanan, Chattahoochee Valley Academy CEO.
Good afternoon ChattCo Family. I hope you’re all safe and doing well. Classes will resume Wednesday, September 13. See you all tomorrow!
The Chattahoochee County School System expresses our appreciation to the Ft. Benning Garrison Command Team and School Liaison Officer for facilitating meetings to coordinate a safer, more efficient bus route system. More so, the school system is very appreciative to the parents of Ft. Benning students for your patience, cooperation, and understanding of our busing issues this first few weeks of school. Ft. Benning parents received notice of the route changes on the Ft. Benning Facebook page Wednesday evening, followed by notifications from the school system yesterday. Additional information will be sent home with students today. This new route system will hopefully eliminate missed instructional time in the mornings and late bus rides in the afternoon. Again, we are very appreciative of the patience, cooperation, and understanding of our parents. Please call the school or our transportation office if you have questions.
Welcome back students! Your teachers have been working hard all week in preparation for your return on Monday, August 7. We look forward to seeing you! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many of our new students and their parents. I hope to have the opportunity to meet everyone else soon. Please feel free to call or email if I can be of service.

Benning 4th Ranger Training Battalion for providing leadership training to employees of the Chattahoochee County School System. A special thanks to LTC Craig Butera, MAJ Jon Godwin, and SSG Andy McMullen for conducting the training session. The 4th Ranger Training Battalion serves as the Chattahoochee County School System’s Partner in Education.
