Happy Friday ChattCo Family: Please continue to use your Friday time, as available, to enjoy some flexibility with family and relax as we all learn to navigate the age of COVID-19. Today is the last day of assignments that are required for grading. All other items are intended to explore concepts through STEM, remediation support or bonus points. In addition, a FAQ (www.chattco.org under Distance Learning) has been created to assist families with end of the school year concerns. We are pleased to announce that the Class of 2020 will be participating in a modified graduation ceremony and we look forward to our continued efforts to recognize them and all our students for their continued success during this most novel time. Families: As more information is shared across our state about the impact of COVID-19, we want you to know that your child's education and needs are the most important to us. Over the weekend and through the next two days, all employees are preparing items so children can continue to be engaged in learning. Please check https://www.chattco.org/article/208538 for the details of the Home Learning Plan. As meals are available and distributed at specific locations in the community, the USDOE requires that children be present to receive the meal. Please remember that any child may receive food, and the child must be present to receive it. Additional information will be shared regarding times and locations for meal and learning packet distribution. Use this time at home to practice good hygiene and hand washing, and contact your local doctor if you have a temperature or are ill. Please limit your contact with others and crowds and enjoy some quality home time.

The COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak has captured worldwide attention and raised many concerns. Its rapid spread, sometimes conflicting information and differing governmental responses in addressing the respiratory disease has caused confusion and anxiety. Our goal is to reduce any anxiety by proactively addressing the manner in which Chattahoochee County Schools will address out of country travel and health needs. Health and safety remain a top priority and we appreciate your support as we work to ensure a positive learning environment for every child. On Tuesday, Pre-K classes at CCEC welcomed Mr. Justin Brown, Chief Ranger with the Georgia Forestry Commission for Marion-Chattahoochee Counties, into their classrooms to read the story, The Tree Farmer. Informative discussions took place after the story, as Mr. Brown was able to tell the students about several everyday items that are made from trees. Thank you for visiting our school and sharing your knowledge with our students Mr. Brown!

Good Evening Parents, Friday afternoon you should have received information regarding a couple of changes to the bus schedules for students in the Head Start Program, Brown bus students from the Chattahoochee Education Center and Blue and Brown Bus students at the Chattahoochee Middle High School. This information should have come in the form of a letter, a text message, or a phone call. Unfortunately today, we received information that will force us to unfortunately change these plans once again for tomorrow morning Monday October 2nd 2017. Chattahoochee Education Center/Head Start: A.M. routes will stay the same. With Head Start buses picking up Head Start students at regular times. All other Education Center students will be picked up as normal. With the Brown bus students riding either Orange or Red bus as designated in the original letter. There will still be a delay in students returning home after school as Blue bus students will be delivered and then the Blue bus will return to the Middle High School around 4 P.M. to pick up those students who currently ride Brown bus. Again, we apologize for the delays and changes and hope to have the situation resolved as quickly as possible.
