Lieutenant Colonel ® Kelvin Scott was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida.  He earned his bachelor degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) and a masters degree from the Florida Institute of Technology.  He was commissioned in 1986 as a Field Artillery Officer and served 22 years and retired in 2008. 

LTC® Scott has served in positions from Company Executive Officer to Professor of Military Science during his career.  His military duties and assignments include Fort Dix, New Jersey, Basic Training Executive Officer; Camp Essayons Korea, Firing Battery Executive Officer; Fort Benning, Georgia, Protocol Officer, Supply and Services Officer, and Company Commander; Alexandria, Virginia Army Materiel Command, Assistant Secretary of General Staff, Executive Officer to the Deputy Chief of Staff;Supply  Zagreb, Croatia,  Supply and Services Officer; Hiedelberg, Germany, Logistics Officer; Fort Benning, Georgia, Basic Training Battalion Executive Officer, Brigade Deputy Commander, and Tallahassee, Florida, Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Professor of Military Science.

LTC ® Scott's military education and training includes the Field Artillery Officers Basic Course; Field Artillery Officers Advance Course; Logistiics Officer Supply Mangers Course; Mortuary Affair Course, Logistics Executive Development Course; and Command and Staff College.

LTC® Scott began serving as Chattahoochee County High School's Senior Army Instructor in 2010

 

1SG (R) Michael P. Johnson was born in Elizabeth City, NC. He graduated from Northeastern High in 1983. He entered the army in 1985, where he served 21 years of military service. He retired in 2007.

1SG (R) Johnson has served in every leadership position in field artillery from Section Chief to First Sergeant.

1SG (R) Johnson's assignments include: Ansbach, Germany, where he served as Gunner and Section Chief; Fort Benning, GA, where he served as Section Chief. Served another rotation in Giessen, Germany, as the Security NCO. He was a member of the Nato Site Team. He served as Howitzer Section Chief at Ft. Campbell KY. Gunnery Sergeant at Scohfield Barrack HI. Fort Benning, GA., where he served Drill Sergeant; Sr. Drill, Bn S-3. Camp Stanley Korea where he served as Bn S-3 (Operation Sergeant) Fort Benning, GA where served as BDE Fire Support Sergeant and 1SG.

 

1SG (R) Johnson served two combat tours in Saudi Arabia and Iraq.

1SG (R) Johnson's Awards include: Meritorious Service Medal (4th award), Army Commendation Medal (5th award), Army Achievement Medal (6th award), National Defense Service Medal with Bronze star, South West Asia Service Medal w/Bronze Star (2nd award), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Non Commission Officer Professional Development Ribbon (4th award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (5th award), Kuwait Liberation Medal (Saudi Arabia), KU-LIB-MDL (Kuwait), Air Assault Badge, Drill Sergeant Identification Badge.

1SG (R) Johnson is Battle Staff Qualified.

MSG (R) Scott entered the U.S. Army in February 1981.  He retired in February 2001, after serving 20 years.

 

MSG (R) Scott has served in every enlisted Leadership position in the Infantry organization from Squad Leader to Company First Sergeant and Battalion Evaluations NCO and Operations Sergeant.

 

MSG (R) Scott's assignment include Supply Sergeant, Neu Ulm, W. Germany, Fort McClellan, AL, and Fort Hood, TX; Bradley Gunner and Section Leader, Assaffenburg, W. Germany; Drill Sergeant, S-3 Assistant Operations Sergeant, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Fort Benning, GA; Platoon Sergeant, Camp Casey, S. Korea; Platoon Sergeant, Assistant Operations Sergeant and Operations Sergeant, Fort Benning, GA; Senior ROTC Instructor, Lafayette, LA.

 

MSG (R) Scott's military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course (Exceeded Course Standards), Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Equal Opportunity Course, Drill Sergeant School, Airborne School and Battlestaff Non-Commissioned Officer Course.

 

MSG (R) Scott's awards include the Meritorious Service Medal 2nd award, the Army Commendation Medal 6th award, Army Achievement Medal 10th award, Good Conduct Medal 6th award, National Defense Service Ribbon, the Korea Defense Service Medal, the Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with the numeral (3), the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon with the numeral (3), the Drill Sergeant Badge and the Parachutist Badge.

 

MSG Scott has worked for the Muscogee County Sheriff's Department and FedEx Ground. He started working as Army Instructor in January 2005.
